Hi and welcome to Adôrlee Education.  I'm Nicci Hudson founder and wedding photographer at Adôrlee, founder and family photojournalist at Nicci Hudson, and finally founder, personal brand photographer, brand specialist and designer at Nicci Hudson Brands. 

I studied Photography A level and then a full time photography degree, but I can honestly say I learned everything about photography and business purely from experience of photographing over 400 weddings, over 100 families, numerous expos and corporate events across London and Europe and huge events for celebrities and charities. Of course, like most I also learned so much from fellow photographers along the way. I started by second shooting for free and earning minimal amounts to gain experience and photographed my first wedding as a main photographer with a friend second shooting for £600 (for us both). 

In May 2021 it will be 14 years since I photographed that first

WHO the f**k am I?

wedding as the main photographer and in those years I have taught workshops and private tuition from complete beginner to professional level in photography and building a photography business.

I believe that to photograph an event as important as a wedding which cannot be retaken and we only get one chance at to get correct, we should know off the top of our heads what shutter, aperture and ISO we need by looking at the light. We should understand Kelvin temperatures and we should understand our cameras. Don’t get me wrong, none of us, including me know the ins and outs of our cameras, that would be nearly impossible, the same as non of us will probably ever use half of what is available in Lightroom or Photoshop. But we should be able to cover a lot of bases and know how to get out of tricky situations and know how to make our beautiful photos that we’ve created, even more beautiful during post production for our clients.

Planning a wedding really should be exciting, you're planning one of the best days of your life! Someday you will be telling your children about this day, maybe even passing down your dress, even if it's just for the material! You will be showing your photos and reminiscing about all of these great memories with your family and friends for many years, and these photos will become precious keepsakes for your children and their children.
